An exhibition of twenty-eight of these images was presented during the month of February, 2005, at the Gallery at Books and Books, Coral Gables, Florida. The exhibit was, in a way, a community effort.  I asked several of my friends to help me curate, select and print the images for the exhibition.

Among those individuals were noted fine art photographer Mario Algaze, photographic historian Michael Carlebach (Professor Emeritus of Art and Art History at the University of Miami) and Clyde Butcher, noted environmentalist and renowned large-format photographer.

These three individuals found the images compelling enough to assist me in making this presentation. We all feel these images need a wider audience. They show Afghanistan and the Afghan people in a light not seen for three decades. We can only hope that such days of peace lie ahead for this magnificent country and its diverse and embattled people.
